Allied is implementing automatic guided vehicles from Raymond and Seegrid to automate pallet movement where possible, along with an “open shuttle,” or a case handling autonomous vehicle from Knapp, to move cartons across the floor from one side of the building to the other. “It’s our next step into robotics,” says Hewerdine, “and we plan to build on this further.”
