Raymond Products Nominated As 2018 MHI Innovation Award Finalists

GREENE, N.Y., February 19, 2018 — The Raymond Corporation’s Virtual Reality Simulator and Pick2Pallet^™ LED Light System have been recognized as finalists for the 2018 MHI Innovation Award in the best new product and best information technology (IT) innovation categories, respectively.

The MHI Innovation Award serves to educate and provide insights on the latest manufacturing and supply chain products and services. Four finalists were chosen in each category — best new product, best innovation of an existing product and best IT innovation based on concept, value and impact.

Five judges, comprised of material handling and supply chain industry professionals, voted on more than 100 product submissions for this year’s award, selecting two Raymond^® products as finalists. Of the 12 finalists named, Raymond is the only company with multiple products represented. 

Selected as a best new product finalist, the Raymond^® Virtual Reality Simulator allows lift truck operators to learn in a virtual environment, under the guidance of an experienced instructor, while using an actual truck and its controls. The Raymond Pick2Pallet^™ LED Light System, a best IT innovation finalist, focuses on helping improve warehouse productivity and reduce picking errors by using put-to-light technology to visually reinforce product placement.

On Monday, April 9, Raymond and other finalists will present their unique solutions to a panel of judges on the show floor at MODEX 2018. MHI Innovation Award winners will be announced during MHI Industry Night on April 11.
