Raymond Donates Vintage Lift Truck to Center for Technology and Innovation
The Center for Technology and Innovation, Inc., in Binghamton, New York, will be adding a new historical piece from Raymond to its TechWorks! prototype workshop — a vintage Raymond Reach-Fork® lift truck manufactured in 1959. Raymond® Reach-Fork trucks were built to be used in narrow warehouse aisles to allow for more racking and to optimize warehouse space.
GREENE, N.Y. — The Center for Technology and Innovation, located in Binghamton, New York, will be adding a new historical piece from The Raymond Corporation to its TechWorks! Prototype Workshop—a vintage Raymond Reach-Fork® lift truck manufactured in 1959. Raymond® Reach-Fork trucks were built to be used in narrow warehouse aisles to allow for more racking and to optimize warehouse space.

Today, narrow aisles in warehouses and narrow aisle lift trucks are a standard throughout the industry and around the world,” says Tim Combs, executive vice president of sales and marketing at The Raymond Corporation. “We are proud to showcase our rich history that helped shaped our industry and be a part of the innovations that shape New York State.”
This particular electric narrow aisle reach truck was purchased in 1959 by a household cleaning supply company in Massachusetts. The lift truck was primarily used to pick and place product in the racking of the warehouse.
The Raymond Reach-Fork® lift truck will be on display at the 3rd annual Century of Upstate New York Vehicles show, “Technology That Drives Us,” being held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 9:00am – 4:00pm at TechWorks! Prototype Workshop, 321 Water Street, Binghamton, New York.
